Using traditional fermentation-based indigo vats that have been maintained for over 40 years, you will learn folding, binding, and dipping techniques to create beautiful geometric patterns on a cotton tenugui cloth. The workshop covers the history of indigo in Japan and the chemistry of natural dyeing.
