Torigoe Matsuri (鳥越祭) is a historic, high-energy Shinto festival held annually in early June at the 1,370-year-old Torigoe Shrine in the Taito Ward of Tokyo. It is widely celebrated for featuring the Sengan Mikoshi, a massive portable shrine that weighs approximately four tons, making it the heaviest mikoshi in Tokyo.
